About Us

A Hub Where Children and Families Thrive

The Play Patch is a grassroots, community-based project created with families at its heart. We are passionate about providing a welcoming hub of play where children and families can connect, learn, and thrive together.

We believe play is more than just fun; it is the foundation for learning, wellbeing, and inclusion. Whether at one of our community events, in schools and nurseries, or in the comfort of your home, we bring together all the pieces of play, soft play, sensory, messy, and creative, to create positive, inclusive experiences for every child.

Raising children can be challenging, and it truly does take a village. The Play Patch is here to be part of yours, offering support, joy, and connection through play.

Meet the team

The Faces Behind The Play Patch

We are both mums, based in North Kessock with a background in Early Years Education and Childcare. Before taking on The Play Patch, we childminded together!

Brionaidh is still a registered childminder with previous business and admin experience while Kelly runs her own cleaning service.

We recognise there is a need for children’s activities in the local area and we are passionate about creating meaningful play experiences, where children can explore and learn while parents connect with one another

We bring learning to life through play. Our curriculum-linked sessions support nurseries, schools, and community groups to promote wellbeing, inclusion, and confidence while helping every child learn and thrive.
